Features of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs handwoven by the Qashqai nomads living in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils that help regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously handwoven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece with no two alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on the wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of handweaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. As such, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners or sides of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
