Characteristics of the production area (Qom)
Qom is a famous production area for silk carpets, so much so that "Qom" often comes to mind when one thinks of silk carpets. It produces the finest carpets in Iran. Qom is located in northern Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are also very rich. Various colors are used very skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most are artistic-level carpets with the workshop's signature.
What is a Persian rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is known for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding works of art and craft representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the production area, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its own unique charm, a one-of-a-kind piece in the world, into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum any dust from the surface along the direction of the pile. If you spill a drink, first absorb the liquid with something highly absorbent (such as kitchen paper or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, gently dab the stain with a tightly wrung towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with something highly absorbent and air dry in a well-ventilated area.
Notes
As this is hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dyeing unevenness. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
