Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool as a part of their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture contains a high oil content to effectively regulate body temperature.
The Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven one by one by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, resulting in a characteristic fluffy and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please be aware that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
