Features of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomadic tribe, who handweave them using vegetable-dyed wool in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh rugs, handwoven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using natural dyes, are characterized by their plush, comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are also known for being warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a cool sensation.
And above all, their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being handwoven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern distortion, weaving inconsistencies, and dye variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of handwoven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dyes may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
