Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in everyday life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh, woven strand by strand with care by Iranian nomads from this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
