Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective body temperature regulation.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung out towel or similar. Afterwards, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
