Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains and contains a high amount of lanolin for effective thermoregulation, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh rugs, made by nomads in Iran who dye this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weave each strand, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night, Gabbeh rugs also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And above all, there's their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs created imaginatively by nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique original.
They can be placed on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, one that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dust and debris by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes

Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the wool dyes may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
