Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs woven by Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using vegetable-dyed wool, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product, developed to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, boasts excellent durability and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Please Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
