Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran. They are dyed with natural plant dyes and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to help regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, one strand at a time, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, demonstrating their superior durability.
Born from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And, above all, their artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shade.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. As a result, there may be a distinctive smell from the dyes used on the wool.
This smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
