Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, handwoven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh, woven meticulously by Iranian nomads one by one with this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature changes between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a mild detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to its handwoven nature, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, and irregularities in weaving and dyeing. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
If requested, the pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
