The Gabbeh, woven piece by piece by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, is characterized by its plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, indicating their excellent durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to its hand-woven nature, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, and unevenness in weaving and dyeing. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
