Gabbeh are long-pile rugs made by the Qashqai nomads who herd in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven from plant-dyed wool and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
