Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant feel rich in natural oils, allowing for effective temperature regulation.
Gabbeh are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture, hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are also known for being warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And, of course, there's their artistry. Gabbeh created imaginatively by nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique scent from the dyes used to color the wool.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
