Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads living in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool as a part of their daily life. The Persian Varied wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft texture rich in oils that effectively regulates body temperature. Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads by hand, one strand at a time, using naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel. Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability. Gabbeh, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, making them feel cool. And above all, their artistic quality is remarkable. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, original item. They can be laid on the floor or even displayed on a wall as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items. Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool, so there may be a unique scent from the wool dye. This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
