Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using naturally dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for surviving in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture due to its high fat content, which helps with temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven knot by knot by Iranian nomads using naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering comfort even in hot weather.
And, above all, their artistry. Gabbeh created from the nomads' imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for years to come?
