Daily Care

Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present. This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

If requested, the pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery. Removing the pom-poms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
