Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils for effective temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh rugs, woven individually by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are also known for being warm in winter and breathable, preventing heat in summer.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but also hung on walls as art.
Why not find a special Gabbeh that will last you for a long time?

Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortions, weaving inconsistencies, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dye may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
