Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them from vegetable-dyed wool in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature, making it soft and pleasant to the touch.
The Gabbehs are hand-woven by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, using this naturally dyed wool. They are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbehs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool.
The smell will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
