Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. These rugs are deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed wool with a long pile. The Persian Variant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, allowing it to withstand the harsh conditions of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, which contains a high amount of oil to help regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, making them feel cool even in hot weather.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find a special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
Please be aware that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

If requested, the pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
