Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically traverse the Zagros Mountains in Iran. They are crafted from vegetable-dyed wool and deeply rooted in everyday life. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
If stains are a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool, which may result in a distinctive odor from the dyes. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
