Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to effectively regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven thread by thread by Iranian nomads after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If worried about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dye used to color the wool.
While the smell will gradually dissipate with use, please be aware of this in advance.
