Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Originating from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are also known for being warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing overheating.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Precautions
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape or pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed for shipping

The pompoms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
