Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. Daily Care

Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel or similar. Afterwards, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
