Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh, hand-woven by Iranian nomads strand by strand with this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, demonstrating their excellent durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool feeling.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may occur.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
