Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They use plant-dyed wool and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to help regulate body temperature and possessing excellent durability, essential for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains.
Gabbeh rugs are made by hand-dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each strand by Iranian nomads. They are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a cool feel.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
