Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft texture with a high fat content allows for effective temperature regulation.
Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung out towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Please Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used for the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
