Gabbeh are long-piled rugs woven by the Qashqai tribe, nomadic people in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and air dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving unevenness, and dye variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
