Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the daily lives of the Qashqai nomadic people, who weave them by hand using vegetable-dyed wool in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh, woven by hand, one by one, by Iranian nomads after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh, created from a climate with large temperature differences between day and night, are also characterized by being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing heat buildup.
And, above all, their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but also hung on walls as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.

Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the dye used on the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
