Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with long piles, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with abundant oil content that helps regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven one by one by Iranian nomads after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterwards, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilventilated shade.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
