Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs

The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, developed to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation. Gabbeh, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture. Strongly woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability. Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool feeling. And above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, with no two being exactly alike, making each a unique, original piece. They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be hung on a wall. Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile direction. If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present. The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
