This is an original, one-of-a-kind design by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold, matching the stone's shape.

This stone, once mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is how it got its name "turquoise." Persian turquoise is a high-quality, hard stone with a vivid, deep sky-blue color, often described as "the color of spring skies." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the finest quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While American Arizona turquoise is commonly brought to Japan, this Persian "Firuze" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to the drastic decrease in production in recent years, making it very valuable.
