Characteristics of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry
This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is how the word "turquoise" (meaning "Turkish") originated. Persian turquoise is known for its vivid, deep sky-blue color, often referred to as "the color of spring skies," and is of the highest quality with high hardness. In fact, this was the first stone humanity used as an amulet for protection.
In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and during the Victorian era, this Persian blue was also highly prized.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying qualities is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other locations. While a lot of turquoise from Arizona in the US is brought into Japan, Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its rarity and drastically decreased production in recent years.
Please enjoy the vibrant, gentle sky-blue, known as Persian Blue, unique to natural Persian turquoise, which is said to be "the color of spring skies" and blends well with skin tones.
Daily Care
We recommend wiping your jewelry clean after each wear to prevent daily grime from accumulating before storing it.
Please remove your jewelry before bathing.
Important Notes
Since natural stones are used, please be careful to avoid direct contact with perfumes, sweat, or oil-based substances when wearing the jewelry. While natural Iranian turquoise is highly durable and resistant to discoloration, the stone's color may rarely change.
