This is an original design from our store, a one-of-a-kind piece by Iran's famous engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While teaching at the Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhances its appeal. The back of each turquoise is individually carved in gold to match the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a high-quality, hard stone with a vibrant, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoises from Arizona, America, are brought to Japan, but this Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced because its production has drastically decreased in recent years, making it precious.
