The turquoise used in this accessory is called Shajar, and it has a natural matrix pattern with mixed turquoise and rock. Shajar means "tree with branches" in Persian, and the branch-like texture of the rock enhances the blue of the turquoise.
This is a classic design jewelry that elegantly depicts the charm of Persia. To match the shape of the turquoise, the back is also carefully and beautifully engraved.

This is an original design unique to our store, created by the famous Iranian engraver Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty, and while lecturing at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran, he also produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise, further enhance the charm of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

Features of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was transported to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, displaying a vibrant, deep sky blue color known as "the color of the spring sky." In fact, this was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality producing region, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, etc. While much of the turquoise imported into Japan comes from Arizona in the USA, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its dramatically decreased production in recent years and its preciousness.
