This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our store, crafted by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian master engraver. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as a jewelry craftsman for the royal family during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its charm. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold, matching the shape of the stone.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is known for its vivid, deep blue sky color, often called "the color of spring skies," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this "Persian blue" was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
In addition to Iran, which produces the highest quality turquoise, other regions such as Australia, America, China, and Egypt also yield turquoise of varying qualities. While American Arizona turquoise is often brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its scarcity and dramatically decreased production in recent years.
