This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop, crafted by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian engraver. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as a jeweler for the royal family during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance their allure. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold, matching the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally found in Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is where its name, meaning "of Turkey," originated. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, characterized by its deep, vibrant sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring skies," and its high hardness. In fact, it was one of the first stones used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. While much American Arizona turquoise is brought into Japan, the Persian "Firoozeh (Turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production and rarity in recent years.
