This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our store by Iran's famous engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi kings. While lecturing at the University of Tehran Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved with gold to match the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Persian Natural Firuzeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, displaying a vibrant, deep sky blue color often called "the color of the spring sky." In fact, this is the first stone mankind ever used as a protective amulet.

In Persia, this stone was treasured by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, etc., with varying qualities. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is imported into Japan, this Persian "firuzeh" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its declining output and increasing rarity in recent years.
