This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store, crafted by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian master engraver. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of King Pahlavi. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its charm. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold, matching the shape of the stone.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally found in Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is how the word "turquoise" (meaning "Turkish") became its etymology. Persian turquoise is a vibrant, deep sky blue, often described as "the color of spring skies," and is a high-quality stone with excellent hardness. In fact, it was one of the first stones ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying qualities is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other regions. While much American Arizona turquoise is imported into Japan, this Persian "firuze" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production in recent years, making it a valuable commodity.
