Characteristics of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry
This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, characterized by its vivid, deep sky-blue color, often referred to as "the color of spring skies," and its high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.
In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and during the Victorian era, this Persian blue was highly valued. Besides Iran, which is the best source of high-quality turquoise, different qualities are also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. While much American Arizona turquoise is brought into Japan, Persian "firuze" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing output and rarity in recent years.
Enjoy the distinctive vivid, gentle sky-blue, Persian blue, of natural Persian turquoise, which is said to be "the color of spring skies" and blends well with skin tones.
