This is an original, one-of-a-kind design by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to each turquoise's unique character, further enhance the allure of the turquoise.

This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, giving it the name "turquoise," meaning "Turkish." Persian turquoise is a vibrant, deep sky blue, known as "the color of spring skies," and is of the highest quality with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the royal family's stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly prized during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying qualities is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many American Arizona turquoises are brought into Japan, but Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production and rarity in recent years.
