This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store, crafted by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was a master engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, enhance their allure even further. The back of each turquoise stone features hand-engraved gold, shaped to perfectly fit the stone.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, giving rise to its name derived from the word "Turkish." Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, characterized by its vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often referred to as "the color of spring skies," and its high hardness. In fact, it was one of the first stones used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this "Persian blue" was highly valued during the Victorian era. While Iran is the finest source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, and Egypt. Although American Arizona turquoise is commonly imported into Japan, Persian "firuze" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its dwindling production and increasing rarity in recent years.
