This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store, crafted by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi King. While also lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhances the charm of the turquoise.

Features of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, displaying a vivid, deep sky-blue color often described as "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humankind as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this "Persian Blue" was highly prized during the Victorian era. While Iran is the best quality origin for turquoise, other qualities are produced in places like Australia, America, China, and Egypt. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are brought into Japan, but due to the drastic decrease in production of this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" in recent years, it is rare and not often introduced.
