This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop, created by the famous Iranian metal engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he crafted jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhances its appeal.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), made its way to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise, known as "the color of spring sky," is a vivid, deep sky blue, and is a hard, top-quality stone. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
While Iran is the best source for turquoise, stones of varying quality are also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and elsewhere. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, America, are imported into Japan, but Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" has become increasingly rare due to a drastic reduction in recent production, so it is not often introduced.
