This is a one-of-a-kind original design by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri, exclusively for our store. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi monarchy. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its charm. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold, matching the shape of the stone.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with a hard texture and a vivid, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of the spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, which is the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are brought to Japan, but this Persian "firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to the drastic decrease in its production in recent years, making it very valuable.
