Characteristics of the region (Varamin)

Varamin is located near Tehran, the capital of Iran, and is a region historically connected by the Silk Road. In Varamin, where diverse ethnic groups and races live, traditional hand-woven "kilims" are particularly famous. The color usage in Varamin kilims has changed over time; older pieces often feature vibrant hues, while more recent ones tend to use calm, darker colors. While various patterns exist in the designs, a geometric pattern called "Cheshm Gir" is especially known as a characteristic of this region. Wool is the primary material, but some kilims also incorporate cotton, creating variations in texture and feel.

What is a Kilim?

Persian hand-woven kilims are globally popular and are traditional hand-woven textiles that grow more beautiful with age. Depending on the era they were woven, they are called vintage kilims, old kilims, or antique kilims, and are loved by people of all ages. Most kilims are made of wool, but some kilims are also produced using cotton or silk. Natural materials are used. As natural dyes are also used for coloring, you can use them with peace of mind. These hand-woven kilims are durably woven and are based on the design styles of tribes and ethnic groups, known as tribal rugs. They feature geometric patterns inspired by nature and animals, and each kilim has its own unique design.
Various ethnic groups live across the vast land of Iran. The design and color characteristics differ by region, allowing you to enjoy a diverse range of design patterns.

Other Uses for Kilims

Kilims are widely used not only as simple carpets or floor coverings but also as wall hangings and as decorative items for other furniture such as sofas, tables, and beds. Their unique designs and colors are distinctive features, and they are often utilized as accent pieces in a room. Kilims are more than just ornaments; they are important elements that enrich the overall atmosphere of a room and highlight its individuality. They add a unique charm and warmth to a living space. By incorporating kilims, you can enjoy a life surrounded by art and comfort, and a life surrounded by things you love.

Kilims and Interior Design

Kilims are incredibly versatile and can be incorporated into various interior styles. In modern interiors, the unique patterns and colors of a kilim can add an accent to a simple space. For natural or Scandinavian interiors, combining a kilim with wooden furniture, plants, or natural materials can enhance its warmth and natural ambiance. Kilims also pair well with bohemian aesthetics; laying them on the floor or hanging them on walls can elevate the overall room atmosphere. Kilims have an ethnic design and tribal feel, making them a great match for interiors that incorporate cultural elements from Iran, Turkey, or Morocco. Arranging them as tapestries or cushions can add warmth and depth to the entire room.

Daily Care

Please remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom. If you are concerned about stains, dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Please Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or color variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.

The first one was a doormat, which I bought online. It was a really good product, so this time I came to the store looking for a Gabbeh large enough to place in front of my sofa. I received very polite service and found a favorite piece, which I immediately decided on. It really suits the atmosphere of my home, and I'm glad I bought it. Thank you very much.

I bought a Persian rug from an online shop for the first time.
I was a bit anxious about buying a Persian rug online because its appearance can change so much depending on the light, but the polite and thorough answers I received when I called to ask questions put me at ease and I went ahead with the purchase.
Although the actual rug was a little darker than expected, I'm delighted to have found such a wonderful item that met my expectations.
They also handled my request for a tapestry finish quickly and with great care, making for a very pleasant shopping experience.
The finish was also meticulously done and beautiful.
I would definitely like to use their services again.

This was my first purchase. I had been looking for a Gabbeh for my living room and had seen many in person, but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Then I found one on your website and it was love at first sight, so I bought it immediately. I was a little worried about buying something based solely on an image, but the actual product was just as wonderful as I imagined. The packaging was also very careful, and it even came with a letter! Thank you so much for the beautiful Persian tapestry as well. I've hung it in my entryway. I look forward to shopping with you again if the opportunity arises.
