This is a Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, custom-made in a special size to suit Japanese lifestyles.
It's the perfect size for an entryway mat, brightening up the space you walk through every day.
Besides the entryway, it's also a convenient size for other small spaces such as in front of a washbasin or balcony, or beside a bed.
It's soft, fluffy, and has a pleasant feel that can be used all year round.
As a unique, hand-woven piece, please enjoy its one-of-a-kind design.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri-Baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbeh rugs.
"Luri" means "fine" and "Baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variat wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, one thread at a time, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, making them feel cool.
And, above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be placed on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find a special Gabbeh that is uniquely yours and will last a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique smell from the wool dye may occur.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can also be removed before shipping.

If requested, the pom-poms located at the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you wish to have the pom-poms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
