This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-Baft Gabbeh, which has less thickness and a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh rugs.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically graze in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. These rugs are deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed wool with long piles. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is rich in natural oils, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, skillfully regulating body temperature.
The Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads one by one with this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool feeling.

Daily Care

Use a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove dirt and dust along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool.
Please be aware that this smell will gradually dissipate with use.

Pom-poms can be removed upon request for shipping

The pom-poms located at the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
