Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, rooted in the nomadic life of the Qashqai tribe in Iran's Zagros Mountains, who hand-weave them using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven knot by knot by Iranian nomads after dyeing this wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting superior durability.

Daily Care
Use a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove dirt and dust along the nap.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used for the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can also be removed for shipping
If you wish, we can remove the pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
