Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in everyday life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture containing a high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with large temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And, above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also beautiful enough to be displayed as art on a wall.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping
If requested, the pompoms on the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
