Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are long-pile rugs made from plant-dyed wool, rooted in their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a lot of oil content to help regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs are characterized by their plush, comfortable feel, made from wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are said to last 100 years, making them extremely durable.
Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing you from feeling hot.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used for the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed upon request.

If you prefer, the pom-poms on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
